According to multiple reports over the last couple of months, it would appear that Guy Melamed will be ending his stay in Perth in the summer.
The Israeli has become a key player and fan favourite for St. Johnstone since arriving last year but his exploits have caught the attention of those down south and it is feared that we cannot afford to keep him at the club.
This is largely because English League One clubs Sunderland, Portsmouth and Ipswich can all afford higher wages than St. Johnstone. These clubs have all been rumoured to have held talks with Melamed's representatives regarding a possible move and despite being offered a new deal, there has been no word on a new contract for Melamed.

This implies that Melamed is awaiting on improved talks from clubs down south and that if negotiations are successful, the Saints number 17 will likely leave the club for nothing upon the expiry of his contract.
Devastating news for St. Johnstone as he has been a huge part of our recent good form and adds a touch of quality and composure to our frontline that we were previously lacking. It would be a crying shame if we do lose Melamed and never get to see him play in the flesh.
Hopefully he accepts Davidson's contract offer and stays at the club for at least another season, he is a great player and with a full campaign under his belt he would undoubtedly be our top goal scorer in my humble opinion.
