St. Johnstone today confirmed the return of Striker Callum Hendry from his loan spell with Championship side Kilmarnock.
[Hendry has returned to Perth]
The 24-year-old comes back to a Perth side in desperate need of goals after a relatively successful half-season in Ayrshire. Hendry scored 5 and assisted 2 in 15 games for Kilmarnock, leaving the club in 3rd place - just 4 points off of the top, with a game in hand.
Callum burst onto the scene in the 2019/20 season, scoring 9 and assisting one for Saints in 27 games - finishing the campaign as top goalscorer and thoroughly impressing, earning himself a contract until the summer of 2022.
[Hendry puts St. Johnstone 1-0 up against Rangers]
Hendry has struggled to replicate this in recent years and loan spells to Aberdeen and Kilmarnock have followed. He was struggling for form at the beginning of the season but there is definitely a player in there - hopefully Davidson can get the best out of them and he can score the goals to keep us in the division.
