Ukrainian Midfielder Max Kucheriavyi has today returned to St. Johnstone, with the 19-year-old ending his loan spell at Highland League side Brechin City early.
[Max has returned to the club as of today]
Max was a hit at Glebe Park, scoring 9 and assisting 10 in just 23 games in all competitions - including 3 direct Free-Kicks. He was a class above at non-league level.
Whilst there is no doubt that Kucheriavyi has bags of potential and one day could be a vital member of the Saints squad, should he continue developing at his current rate, he likely is not ready for top-flight football.

This means that 'Wee Max' has most likely been brought back to loan out to a side higher up the Scottish football pyramid. However, this also could be because of St. Johnstone's current injury crisis - with just 1 fit Winger available (a positive Kucheriavyi can play), whilst we are really lacking in energy in the middle of the park.
Hopefully, this is just a precaution in case we can't get anyone else in, or that he has a move lined up to another Scottish league side on loan. St. Johnstone desperately needs to be bringing new signings through the door in the next 7 days.
